Rain rain, go away. Come again another day!

Wet, cold helmets= two hardworkin missionaries

Well thats not super fair about the incredibly nice weather
cause it got SO cold this week! Dad remember how I told ya that it never rains
here? Well I think I jinksed the weather with my missionary authority because
it seriously rained the entire week up until Sunday! I don't think i've ever
before watched it rain so hard the entire day and night nonstop. It was so much
that we had to stay inside for various reasons like my companions health and
the flooded streets (no way to ride bikes). The next day we were so sick of
being inside that we left anyway and we seriously soaked ourselves in the
freezing cold and pouring rain! It probably wasn't too smart to do but we're
alive so we're good. Every day I feel like i'm preaching on Sunrise
Mountain.
We are getting everyone real excited for the Capilla Abierta and also the Cordoba Temple Dedication in a couple weeks. Our little humble chapel is going to be set apart for the day to become part of the new Cordoba temple.
I think the cold got the best of most of the members this
Sunday. If I count us two and one of the member's baby we were 11 people who
attended Sacrament Meeting. It made me think a lot about when Joseph Smith
organized the church and there were only 6 present in their first Sacrament
meeting. I love it because I still felt the Spirit so strongly as the two
Preisthood holders blessed and passed the sacrament as we sang "Nearer my
God to Thee" without a piano. The preisthood power and the spirit is the
same in every one of God's churches, no matter the number of people present.
But that only motivates me to go and work harder so that that church is filled
with more people, so that they can also feel of that Spirit and partake
of these wonderful blessings.
Yesterday during a lesson I was offered cigarretes haha
that's a first and then right after the same man offered me coffee. I boldly
testified of the Word of Wisdom and he put the cigarettes back in his
pocket.
I realize that one can sit there and argue about doctrines
all day if they are stuborn enough, but every time someone testifies of a truth
that they themselves have come to know by the Spirit, there is no way to argue
it. The conversation ends there. This week after hearing so many wise
accusations about Joseph Smith ( by the same man that offered me cigarretes) I
was able to testify boldly that I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and
that the Book of Mormon is true, and that the only reason I know it is because
I've read it and asked God in humble and sincere prayer. It felt so good to say
it so boldly and firmly and the man, after trying so hard to accuse us of
teaching false truths, had nothing to say. BEAR YOUR TESTIMONY. There is so
much power in it!
Well as you can see we are not only persecuted by men but
also by giant dogs haha
I love the Familia Berasain!!! We have dinner with them
every Thursday!
WE ARE SO EXCITED TO
