Que los cumplas feliz !

Hola Familia!!!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! It was such a great day haha even though it was crazy because I  completely forgot about it until Sunday morning! I had mentioned it to my new hijita (companion) earlier in the week and then forgot about it with all the craziness of the week- well my comp remembered and she surprised me with little notes on the walls haha. I think its only possible to forget your own birthday in the mission field but it was such a good day anyway! We didnt have a cake so my comp piled some cookies on top of each other and we sang happy birthday. I felt a ton of love from other missionaries and some members who gave us lunch and chocolate haha.

I am officially a MOMMY! I love mi hijita Hermana Silva- She is from Chihuaha Mexico ( VIVA MEXICO for Payton..)  and the coolest person I have ever met. She is a recent convert from just one year and a half, and she is a spiritual GIANT! It's amazing how much she knows and feels for the Gospel with such little time of knowing it. It was so exciting when all the future trainers walked into the Presidents house and there they were- all the new missionary victims lined up, and President Thurgood went about announcing who was going to train who. Well of course we were the very last ones to be announced haha that always happens to me! We were friends from the start. She is so excited about the work and she has a lot of great ideas. The only real problem we've had is teaching her to ride a bike. She was super scared about it at first but after a BUNCH of practice runs in the back yard she has progressed to riding in the streets! I am one proud mama! Haha I never thought that in the mission I would teach someone to ride a bike! But it is so worth it because every lesson that we have is amazing. We are super united and she is already sucha great teacher. In fact, she's teaching me a whole lot more than I am teaching her. I feel so humble to be her trainer or even her companion. Also she loves Spngebob so that is a HUGE plus!

Funny moment of the week: We were running late to catch a omnibus to leave for a meeting that night, and my comp was still learning to ride on the bikes so we were going super slow. I saw the bus leaving in the distance so I started to book it like a wild woman haha and as it was pulling out I tapped on the window and begged for him to wait for us! Wasn`t to great of an impression but what can ya do. We caught the bus.

I "re" learned this week that one doesn't need to know everything about the gospel to be able to teach it. Hna Silva is new to the gospel  herself, but she has a testimony that burns so bright you can't deny the words that leave her mouth.

Well the Hudson graduated? What are they going to do NOW? Haha hope all is well in Snowflake (mini Zion) and that you all can pray for more opportunities to share the gospel.

Con amor,

Hermana Flake

Corina's Baptism

We love Corina!!! On her Baptism Day :)
We moved all our things to the new pench and we had to do it all in one day. Our new pench has more spiders and cockroaches but it is a lot nicer and has more than one room so we are excited! Well, I am, my compa is super sad cause she got to help move everything in and then we found out about transfers.... haha my comp is going to Ezeiza to do ANOTHER whitewash and i'll be staying her to train a greenie!
Hna Concenes and I  were so convinced that there were no changes this transfer, cause they usually always call before Friday midday if there are changes, so Friday night we bought icecream and we were celebreating another transfer together and that`s when we got the call! Haha I did cartwheels and my companion cried!

Bienvenida a la rama Corina!!!
Corina`s baptism went super well! It was scheduled for 4:30 and 4:30 came around and she didnt show up! We had to go look for her at her house haha. She didnt answer the door so we just entered anyways! We found her in her bed crying because of her boyfriend. We grabbed her by the shoulder and told her that she needed to be baptized today! Haha she just looked at us and said "you're right " and then she got baptized! It was a great day!

I feel so much love for Argentina this week with the temple dedication in Cordoba.D Todd Christofferson spèaks spanish PERFECTLY!! Deiter F. Uchdorf also came!  I love being a missionary and I love Argentina!

(Mother's Day Skype Call)  I apologize for all the tech probs... yes I love technology, but not as much as you you see. But like I told y'all it was all for a reason and it means the Lord is taking care of us, cause after skyping with you guys Saturday night you'll never guess what happened to us!

We were super stressed with all the tech probs, my comp didn't even end up being able to skype her family that night and so we rode our bikes super fast to our appointment with Corina. We arrived 40 minutes late, knocked on her door and she answered us, crying and fear in her eyes. She rushed us in and locked the door behind us and started to explain how her boyfriend, Sebastian, had come over that night SUPER angry and was yelling at her, telling her that she better not be baptized in the church or else. Do you remember how he was so against it all from the beginning? Well this time he lost it. He told her that she had to choose between him and the church, and when she told his straight out " Well then, fine, I choose the church of Jesus Christ" he lost it even more and started to throw and break her dishes in her very own house! Turns out the tech probs were a blessing too because he was doing all of this at the time of our scheduled appointment, and he had just left 5 minutes before we arrived. It was so crazy too cause minutes after we were safe inside the house he came back and started banging on the door, shouting her name and holding down the doorbell. We were seriously scared haha. We all knelt down and said a prayer together. Sebastian continued banging for about 20 minutes and finally left. He knew we were there because our bikes were tied up outside. Well when we finally felt like it was safe to leave, we said another prayer and hopped on our bikes to ride home as fast as we could ONLY to find that he had SLASHED our bike tires! Haha they were completely flat! I wanted to pull a Nacho move SO  BAD in that moment and throw a Mayonaised corn stick right at his face but he was no where in sight haha. So we walked home! With no other options, we were so freaked out cause we didn´t know what his intentions were with us. But I am here to testify that the adversary never wins.

That very next morning Corina, my companion and I woke up at 5:00 AM to get in the branch combi to bring us to the Stake Conference in Monte Grande, 3 hours away. Corina hadn´t been able to sleep a wink because Sebastian was banging on her door every couple hours. Poor girl! But I am so amazed at her courage and her steadfastness! The Conference was exactly what we all needed! Corina cried during the talk about the Baptisms for the dead, she wants to go to the temple so bad and on the way home she surprised us by telling us that she wants to serve a mission!!! I am so excited! She gets emotional when she talks about it, she is so converted and such an example to me.

Believe it or not we saw Sebastian later that Sunday when he was calmed down. He told us during the lesson with Corina a bunch of things that really aren´t worth repeating, basically telling Corina that she was stupid for believing in God and in all that we are teaching her. He asked her if she was really going to obey the law of Chastity and when she told him yes he got super angry again and said ¨"then it´s over between us, I would never want to marry you" Corina just looked at him straight in the eyes and told him "Great! Fine with me! " haha I just love her! Her baptism will be this Saturday. We didnt say anything about the bikes until the end when I shook his hand and said "Ah its a shame we dont have bikes anymore " with the biggest smile on my face hahaha and he just smirked and looked at the ground it was a moment of victory, knowing that we won the fight!!!

Rain, Rain!!!!

Rain rain, go away. Come again another day!

Our Helmets were Soaked!

Wet, cold helmets= two hardworkin missionaries
Well thats not super fair about the incredibly nice weather cause it got SO cold this week! Dad remember how I told ya that it never rains here? Well I think I jinksed the weather with my missionary authority because it seriously rained the entire week up until Sunday! I don't think i've ever before watched it rain so hard the entire day and night nonstop. It was so much that we had to stay inside for various reasons like my companions health and the flooded streets (no way to ride bikes). The next day we were so sick of being inside that we left anyway and we seriously soaked ourselves in the freezing cold and pouring rain! It probably wasn't too smart to do but we're alive so we're good. Every day I feel like i'm preaching on Sunrise Mountain.

We are getting everyone real excited for the Capilla Abierta and also the Cordoba Temple Dedication in a couple weeks. Our little humble chapel is going to be set apart for the day to become part of the new Cordoba temple.

I think the cold got the best of most of the members this Sunday. If I count us two and one of the member's baby we were 11 people who attended Sacrament Meeting. It made me think a lot about when Joseph Smith organized the church and there were only 6 present in their first Sacrament meeting. I love it because I still felt the Spirit so strongly as the two Preisthood holders blessed and passed the sacrament as we sang "Nearer my God to Thee" without a piano. The preisthood power and the spirit is the same in every one of God's churches, no matter the number of people present. But that only motivates me to go and work harder so that that church is filled with more people, so that  they can also feel of that Spirit and partake of these wonderful blessings.

Yesterday during a lesson I was offered cigarretes haha that's a first and then right after the same man offered me coffee. I boldly testified of the Word of Wisdom and he put the cigarettes back in his pocket.

I realize that one can sit there and argue about doctrines all day if they are stuborn enough, but every time someone testifies of a truth that they themselves have come to know by the Spirit, there is no way to argue it. The conversation ends there. This week after hearing so many wise accusations about Joseph Smith ( by the same man that offered me cigarretes) I was able to testify boldly that I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is true, and that the only reason I know it is because I've read it and asked God in humble and sincere prayer. It felt so good to say it so boldly and firmly and the man, after trying so hard to accuse us of teaching false truths, had nothing to say. BEAR YOUR TESTIMONY. There is so much power in it!

Well as you can see we are not only persecuted by men but also by giant dogs haha

I love the Familia Berasain!!! We have dinner with them every Thursday!

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO FINALLY MOVE
