Hna Flake & Jiminez Doing Service |
I have a couple amazing stories for you this week. So we were out looking for a less active member´s house and Hna Jimenez felt prompted to ask this one man for directions (We do that A LOT as an excuse to talk to someone and share the gospel haha) He wasn´t interested, but he pointed us to another house and told us to clap there. A nice lady named A-- answered and I told her that we were representatives of Jesus Christ and asked her if we could serve her in some way. She invited us in and we talked with her and she fed me her whole kitchen (Apparently i´m not fat enough for the Argies) and she shared with us that the Mormons helped her out at a very difficult time in her life when her daughter got ran over in the United States 7 years ago.
She explained the love that a member family showed her when she didn´t even know them, and she feels as if they were angels in that time of her life but lost contact with them. That same morning she had been looking at a picture of her daughter and asking her to send a light into her life because she is 'falling'. Then she heard the clap at the door, saw us, and knew that we were the light sent from her plea for help. She was grasping my hand and looking into my eyes when she told me this. She couldn´t stop expressing her admiration for us and how beautiful angels we were. We talked about how everything happens for a reason, how much Jesus Christ loves her and has a plan for her, and we gave her a Libro de Mormon and promised her blessings of the book. She was so excited she said she was going to read a page each day haha. I am so excited to teach her this week.

He prepared A-- to receive us in her moment of need. Years before, those members never knew the difference that they made in her life but because of them, she always is going to remember the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the love they showed her. So reach out! Be kind, share the Gospel.
You do not KNOW the difference you are making in the work of the Lord!

I loved this Charly. It is so true, the little good we do is never lost and you never know when it will turn up.
