Patrick.... that's a pickle...... YES!

We caught a bunch of lightning bugs and put them in a jar! hahaha then we let them all go!!!
Caitlin--- like my shirt??
This week has been full of rainstorms and lightning bugs! Every night we walk through this field where there are like a BAJILLION buzzin around and you know what? They are SO easy to catch! We would know cause we actually filled a jar of them and brought them to the pench to watch them glow haha!! Don't worry we let them all fly out the window. Makin memories.

There have been several times this week where it was pouring buckets and the thunder was loud and lightning close.... looking out the window of the pench and thinking--- Should we go out still? And every time we just said a prayer and it kind of hit us like... duh! Why don't we just go out anyways? So we did! And we always arrive to the pench soakin wet head to toe despite of our flimsy umbrella but it is always worth it.

Ummmmmmm, WOW!

Dancing in the rain!

Y contecio que vivimos de una manera feliz.

And it came to pass that we live in a happy way.

CLINGRAT!

We had a big mission conference where Elder y Hermana Spitali came from the seventy to speak with us individually as zones! So the conference was literally amazing!!! My faith has been strengthened tremendously and my expectations have been raised. I just had to ask a Greeny Elder Yankee next to me in cyber for the word for "expectations" in English. Thats how awkward I've become. But seriously I learned so much from Elder y Hermana Spitali! Then afterwards it was so awesome cause President Thurgood chose like 5 people to have a personal interview with Elder Spitali and I was one of them! It was such a priviledge!!

This turtle peed on me! Right after we took the picture!

I love these argentines!
We always see them in the park and talk with them.

The girl always hugs me tight and tells me she loves me and that we'll never be separated! Haha she tugs at my little heart strings!

Summer is starting and that means the fireflies are starting to come out! I love it! They are everywhere at night!
We found a blackberry tree!!!!

( not sure if they are real blackberries but they didn't make us sick afterall)
We ate like 3 handfuls hahaha not sure if that was safe!

Other fruitful events: A bird thats called "Tero" here literally was attempting to attack us  cause we walked through their ground nest, but we were left unharmed. They have little knives in their wings, literally!  They were more scary than the evil peacock off of Kung Fu Panda 2!
Eugenia at the temple.

These are buรฑuelos.

Making Bunuelos!

We are teaching English classes to little niรฑos.A community service is letting us participate!!! I decided to start with the basics and teach them head, shoulders, knees and toes.  One of them saw our Libro de Mormon and said he had one in his house so we are going to visit them later this week!

Hey! This MTC teacher totally knows Brayden! I think they were even companions!
Send him the picture and tell him he says hi! (Hno Gomez)

I'm tellin ya squidward, you and your nose will definitely NOT fit in!

As you can tell from my dirty shoes we have been workin hard in the rain this week!
These Argentina skies never seem to make up their mind.
Once upon a time, these shoes were white.
Then Hermana Flake served a mission in Argentina.
There were no refunds. The end.
Well this week I got to have another exchange with my rubia Hna Ostler
and that was so fun! I also found out that my own hije, Hermana Silva mi mexicana
is going to take her place this transfer as my sister training leader!
I am so proud of her and that's going to be fun getting to do exchanges with her!

My comp and I continue to have fun! This week she laughed at me
as I belted "Called to serve" in the street.

Photo-Bombing Elders - That's what they do, and they never change!

THIS is my weird district - Hey! Elder Shill the tall gringo is Tanner Flake's friend!
 tell him he says hi.

We have floor planning parties

Happy Halloween! I almost forgot that it was....Here in Argentina they don't celebrate it much and there are a bunch of protests from the other churches that we shouldn't celebrate Halloween cause of the dead scary faces. But I never thought of it that way... I prefer to dress up and get free candy. As John Pinnette would put it "you knock on the door and they give ya candy! Its the best night of the year!" Even though we did find one neighborhood that was giving out candy and so that gave me so much joy to see a couple groups of zombies and minion children walking around!

"I saw the first cactus!"

I want to tell you about how our Heavenly Father answers our fasts! We were fasting this weeked for health ( my comp has been coughin up a storm) and also to find new people to teach. When we showed up to church, Eugenia handed us a bag of cough medicine and soup and all kinds of stuff-- she simply said "I felt like I needed to bring you guys this!" I could hardly believe it! Then, looking around in Sacrament meeting, we spotted 2 new visitors that members had brought to church! One of them stayed for the whole time, we were able to meet them and we'll be setting up appointments to teach them this week. What a beautiful answer to our fasting and prayer!

Hermana Thurgood gave me a recipe for banana bread cause I was just craving it oh so badly-- my first attempt turned out as black as our horse Haliegh hahahaha the recipe called for an hour and about a half hour in I was smelling smoke!! What can ya do-- I just cut off the sides and we ate the middle haha my 2nd attempt turned out magically delicious!

Today I start my last transfer..... "The last........... MELON."

I am consecrating my whole self to this beautiful work. I won't be able to do everything. But I can treat each day as the beautiful gift that it really is, and I can remember the reason why I am here. HASTA EL FIN

Con amor,

Hermana Flake
