Don´t look at me she gets it from YOUR side of the family!

Oh you know just.... chillin around.
Its been way too hot lately

We're sneaky little rugrats haha. "Its like dejavu.... like like I've been here before"  "Its like dejavu.... like like I've been here before"

First of all, my little button la Hermana Diaz is now on her way hommmeeeeee to Chile! Wow i'm gonna miss her. I can't tell y'all how good of friends we were. I feel so stinking grateful, because every single one of my compañeras has been my dear friend, and every single one has taught me something else that I really needed to learn. Hermana Whitney, from the MTC, was always so incredibly willing to submit to the will of the Lord, despite her circumstances She is a true believer of the Gospel and her faith leads her. Hermana Jimenez, my trainer and mi ¨mama" of the mission taught me how to take care of myself and hold my own and trust in the Lord, despite what anyone said. We learned a lot about the Atonement together. Hermana Toala taught me so much about teaching with power, authority and love. She also really taught me how to have fun in the mission and still be efficient :) Hermana Diaz taught me so much about how to be patient, not only in my circumstances but with the people we taught. She never lost her patience and love for the people and led by quiet example.

And now, my NEW COMPANION! Hermana Ostler :) We are already such great friends! We are SUPER alike. 2 blondies with a love of awkward moments. She reminds me so much of Courtney Baldwin its crazy haha she's just the cutest little thing and SO sweet! She has a military family so she's lived in all sorts of parts of the world,  and has 5 months in the mission. We already see a problem with us 2 blondes together. In the train on the way back from the Transfer meeting, a drunk guy sat by us and started talking to us haha and we didnt have a clue what he was saying but we just smiled and talked to him about the gospel. Then another guy was talking to the Elders and he saw us and came up to us started saying how beautiful we were. Like angels haha he wanted us to write his name in the Book of Life for him haha! But we're going to have to be real careful cause especially at this time of the year there are a ton of drunks always in the streets and blondes are very rare... They always try to talk to us.. (Love you mom) :) So we're off to a really interesting, awkward start! :)

Cute little thing :)

Famlia Perez :) Gotta love them!

just a little bit of mosquito bites .... NO BIG DEAL!

REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!
Our investigators are going good. Lucy and Manuel still have doubts so we moved their baptismal date. Mayra and Manuel are ready except they need to quit smoking. Their down to 1 cigarrette a day. We helped them make a new goal of not focusing on HOW MUCH they were smoking a day but instead to make the goal of saying a prayer every time they felt like smoking. They promised to try that this week :) Their wedding is this weekend!

Elder Flake and I switched our nametags for a bit! Nobody even noticed hahaha!  I'm officially Elder Flake.

I love the mission. I love being so close to my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I missed you all a lot this week, but I love the promises in D&C 31 to every missionary's family. I know the Lord watches over each one of you and blesses you. Miss you mucho!

You're so vain, you probably think this letter is to you, dont you, dont you?

Happy New Year! We spent our new year just us two in the pench and made it a party haha. We bought ice cream and cookies and a member brought us a giant typical Argentine meal with Milonesa Napolitana de pollo, puré de papa, and crusty bread that sounds just like the bread off of Ratatouille. We also got ourselves some crush soda and we called it a feast!

And you know what? He himself, the Grinch, carved the roast beast!

I LOVE MY COMPA
We found a Mickey D's to break the fast. What a way to go! (The nuggets were NOT the same) Nor the burgers... nor the fries.. nor the agua or the salt... haha but the dirty bathroom was the same haha that was good.

We have been finding quite a bit of new people to teach, and one family I am super extra excited about. We talked to them while we were waiting for the bus and invited us to their house. Gustavo and Luana and their two boys Gaspar and Alan are a sweet family who love the Lord and are very interested with what we have to say about the way the gospel blesses families and how they can be together forever. Luana is from Brazil and I love listening to her Portugese! I can understand more or less, but i'm adding Portugese to my wish list, it's such a beautiful language!

Lucy and Manuel my favorite elderly have a baptismal date this Sunday. We are really hoping it pulls through, because they are definitely ready for baptism, but ........they say they don't know everything.

Well this is the last week of this transfer and I really can't believe it. The time is flying and I'm not ready to leave Hermana Diaz! If I wanted to describe the closeness of our friendship I couldn't. We have so much fun yet we give every moment our all.  I have loved sharing this transfer with her. It makes me happy to know that I'll be staying here in Gutierrez. I have fallen in love with this area, the ward, and the people here. Did I tell you we live almost right next to a giant Coca Cola factory? Maybe you can google it haha it's prettty cool. I have no idea who my next companion will be but we'll see!

Christmas in Argentina

The rest of Christmas was good but SUPER different! I can't say fireworks at Midnight is the same as snow and hot chocolate but you know- Its Argentina what can ya do haha. As you saw, I got my comp a barbie head that I found in the street and.... nothing else haha CHISTE I got her some Ping Pong paddles and a set. She was super happy. She got me a cowgirl keychain cause she says I'm the coolest cowgirl she knows.

Mom- thanks so much for the money to buy gifts. We ended up buying a bunch of little things and a couple kids something bigger.

Alen with his gifts

Gabu, a recent convert in Primary is the sweetest little soul who loves basketball, so we got him a real nice basketball hoop that he can nail to his wall. I will never forget his expression when he unwrapped it :)
Funny note: We've been visiting this elderly man who we are teaching how to pray. He always does a good job with us there but then he forgets to say them on his own. This week we had a lesson with some of his neighbors and they told us that he's a little crazy. We were like what do you mean crazy? They were like "he leaves his house in the night and shoots at the sky with his gun and laughs" Hahaha I coulnt stop laughing. I was shocked he seems so innocent to me! Apparently Alfonso esta loco.

Yesterday we left super early to go help a recent convert, Rebecca, and her 5 wild niños get to church. She is pregnant and its super hard for her to mantain them all so we like to help her out. Eric and Axel, both under 7 years old, kept bringing me flowers the entire walk to church haha and then all of the sudden Eric just comes up to me, gets down on one knee and asks, "Quieres casarte conmigo?" Haha SO CUTE! Then his brother did the same! I told them both yes and the rest of the way they were each holding one of my hands, planning the wedding. Axel told me, "You need to start looking for a dress. That one won't work because its yellow" And Eric would say, "We need to clean the house!" Haha cutest thing I ever saw.

I love the expression on his face - haha this is after I said "yes"
